One of TNN's most popular duos in the talk show field was Lorraine Crook and
Charlie Chase who made their debut on TNN in the 80's with their own talk show titled Crook And Chase. In a format similar to Live With Regis And Kathie Lee Crook and Chase focused on interviews with the biggest names in country music celebrity interviews and the latest trends in Nashville and cooking segments. Crook And Chase was one of TNN's most popular talk shows and continued to be popular until it's cancellation in the 90's. While no longer hosting talk shows together Lorraine Crook is now a writer for Country Weekly magazine and Charlie Chase is still active in Nashville

When I would be getting dressed for school TNN was the channel Mom and I watched each morning and we would watch the morning music video show and then after that we watched Crook And Chase and it was a really nice show and it was fun to learn about the latest in Nashville

Owens was at the forefront of bringing country music into a new era of entertainment television programming, including 1977's A Concert Behind Prison Walls with Johnny Cash, Linda Ronstadt and Roy Clark. In 1983, he created Crook & Chase, country music’s first entertainment news talk show, bringing together news correspondent Lorianne Crook with veteran radio personality and local television host Charlie Chase. In 1985, The Nashville Network partnered with Jim Owens Entertainment for original content creation.
