The obvious reason... money, although I do agree with the "boy band" answer. Now that I think of it, most of who people consider to be "boy bands" aren't really bands at all.

Anyway... financial problems is the number 1 reason for divorce in the U.S. nowadays. It's pathetic to think that love is based on a little green peice of paper which in itself has no value. The way I see it, most everyone will have some type of financial problem, so why bother bringing divorce into the picture? Divorce will more than likely worsen your problems, much less fix them.

Sex. I was in my psychology class last semester and we learned that the nmber one break up cause is becasue of sex. They say once you have sex, what else is there? I'm talking about dating relationships, not marriage.

It wasn't completely off topic... if you think about it, sex is technically the root of all evil. It creates humans who, essentially, create evil... or define that which is evil, rather.

I truely feel sorry for the folks who think sex is the root of all evil or who think that the only reason to have sex is to procreate.

I really hope that someday you get involved in a relationship that will change your mind towards sex, because not to sound sappy, but it can be a beautiful thing when with the right person.

My real answer would probably be....greed and/or selfishness. The way I see it most of the "cardinal" sins are great causes of "evil", but I think that most of those (lust, gluttony, sloth, etc.) are at their root greed. Greed doesn't have to do with only money, in my view.

I have a few answers for this question. People are the root of all evil. People create chaos in the world. (Chaos in this sense is violence) That's the main one. Another that ties to people is money.

Take this example. You have 1 large suitcase of money in the middle of a room. We have a bunch of people in the room trying to get to the money. Only one person can keep the money. The first one that gets to the money- keeps it. People would do anything to get to that money. Money = Power to some people. If you have money, you have power. If you have power than you become the high figure. You could do whatever you wanted with the little people if you have the money and the power. Greed inhabits the people, so I'm going to combine those two into the same category.

Well I proabably shouldn't have said that, but it's just the way I feel right now. I mean thet whole idea of sex is to produce offspring. But I guess when I actually get married one day, I'll feel different.

I wanna clarify what I meant with my last statement. I don't think that the only reason to have sex is to have children. I just think that, 9 times outta 10, sex just leads to trouble. I've seen so many friendships and relationships get ruined because sex suddlenly became an issue. People place too much importance on sex and I think that's a bad thing. So many folks think sex is the be-all and end-all and that attitude is what leads to trouble.

And I stongly disagree with those who think that money is evil. People who say that "money is the root of all evil" obviously haven't got any! My money and all the cool stuff I've bought with it is really the only thing that makes me happy - I'd be nothing without it. Having some money does make me feel powerful and I think that's a good thing.

Exactly... I don't have any money. Just because someone has more money than, just say, their neighbor, doesn't make them any better. (Don't think I'm attacking you, Mossopp, I'm not talking about anyone in particular, just people in general.) Just having money doesn't make anyone better than the rest of us, it's how they act and what they do with their money that makes them "better."

I think it is evil when popular people look down on others that are less fournate(sp?) then them. They think just because they can't afford a new pair of Nikes or wear Abercrombie&Fitch that they shouldnt be worth saying Hey to. Just because people live in a moble home instead of a home thats firmly attached to the ground they think those people are trash. This is evil.

I don't think I'm better than anyone else just cos I've got a bit of money. And I'd certainly never mistreat anyone who is less well-off than I am. All I'm saying is that I feel better about myself when I know I've got a bit of spare cash lying around and I can afford that new TV or a new video games console that I want.

Mossop(sry if i spelled that wrong) I wasnt directing that at anyone on these boards. I was saying that people that are popular and think their butts dont stink are all those things I said. People in my school get made fun of by popular poeple that have more things than them . Thats why I posted that-from seeing people get picked on because they dont have name-brand things.
