Her mom just straight up dumped her and her dad was just was living his life and dragging her along. She had to move in with this whole family she barely knew and got a random as step mother who was a flake. Plus, Martin and Denise ended up going over seas and left Olivia behind saying they'd "send for her".

Yeah...
Even if Olivia didn't exactly become my favorite "cute kid" character, she got a rough start in her life.
