Several of the girls in the writers group at the fanfiction and some of our devoted readers have asked me a while back if I have considered binding up my story Mera mami linda oyee and send it to Isaac Ruiz.
I was like.....What?!?! LOL!
Well after a few arm pullings from my husband and fellow fan fiction writers I finally finished editing and had it bound together at the local Kinko's.
My husband spoke to Isaac on his birthday and mentioned the fanfiction. Isaac seemed excited and was willing to read the story.
This story wouldn't have gone as far as it did if it wasn't for you the readers of our fan fiction.
I sent it out and with his permission he has graciously offered me to post his response to his reaction to the story. Deseo del corazon formally mera mami linda oyee!
Good Morning Suzanne,
Or shall I say Mrs. Mando....or is it Mrs. Chico...or is it Edina Louis'e
mother...or..oh, I think you get the picture. Why did you have to die on us? anyway. az very interesting script! You must have worked long and hard on this script.
The funny thing though, to me it was almost real. I could see "Chico" (Freddie) in the garage as I knew him. Same with Ed, Louie, Della. You see, as I was reading about them, I was able to place their voices with their characters in the script., just as I knew them when in real life we were together. It was kind of strange. And when you were describing Ed coming down the stairs, or taking a shot, I remember exactly how he did it.
I also think of the faces he would make.
For most people it is a script, but for me it came to life. Although,
between you and me, Mando would have always been loyal to Chico, and would never....NEVER hit up on his "main-squeeze"./ That is a loyalty that is real, and I being from the barrio, can tell you. The three things you NEVER did, growing up in the barrio...1) Never hit up on your friends girl...2)Never snitch 3) Never be disloyal to your "home-boyz"
But your story was good, and you put a lot of work into it. Thank you my dear for making me a part of your life in the story, and I hope Jim does not get mad at me for all the times we made passionate love. I must say, I rather enjoyed it! Ha Ha Ha
She was so excited when I told her you had sent the script to me, and now I can tell her I read it. Well "Girlfriend", say hello to my amigo Jim and you have a great day! God's richest blessings to you both....Mando.....aka...Isaac
