Do you think the show was better in it's first three seasons with McLean Stevenson as Colonel Henry Blake or Wayne Rogers as Trapper John? Or was it better with the introduction of Harry Morgan as Colonel Potter and Mike Farrell as BJ Hunnicutt?

I think it would have been better with McDirty Stevenson.

I personally like the first three seasons best, when the show was a screwball comedy.
The loss of the 2 primary actors really showed.
However, the first seasons of Mike Farrell were also good, much better than in the later eps.
Essentially, the years with Larry Linville are the best.
This includes both Trapper and BJ and Henry and Sherman.
