The original is my all time favorite show. I want gorgeous Emily Wickersham cast as the lead here.

I love this show too. It gave us Kyle Chandler - can't go wrong there.

On the last episode of the original, Gary gave the gift to a little girl. I hope this is where they pick up with her as an adult.

I wish it was streaming.

Lead Character: “I have tomorrow’s newspaper!!”

Everyone else, glancing up from their phones: “What’s a newspaper??”

Alice Eve to star in CBS' gender-swapped reboot of Early Edition (https://deadline.com/2022/03/alice-eve-star-early-edition-cbs-pilot-1234980946/)

Eve will take on a variation of the Kyle Chandler role in CBS' reboot of his 1996-2000 drama series. Eve will play an executive producer at a Seattle TV station, described as "an ambitious but uncompromising journalist who starts receiving tomorrow’s newspaper today and finds herself in the complicated business of changing the news instead of reporting it." ALSO: Early Edition rounds out its cast with Charles Michael Davis, Jay Ali and Fiona Rene (https://deadline.com/2022/03/early-edition-charles-michael-davis-jay-ali-fiona-rene-cast-cbs-reboot-pilot-1234981548/).

CBS has passed on the Early Edition remake, it won't be going to series. While I wanted to see this, no way would Early Edition 2.0 have been as good as the original.
