Tonight is the first episode of the Jeopardy College Championship on ABC. Mayim Bialik is hosting and to me, if the ratings are high, it will increase the chances of her becoming the permanent host next season.

Svenfan1234 02-08-2022, 11:30 AM Why is this on ABC? Jeopardy is normally just syndicated and in my local area it's on CBS. Is this a sign of what's to come, Jeopardy on ABC? Svenfan1234 02-08-2022, 11:32 AM Also, ABC has some of the lowest ratings of any of the main channels so why not NBC or CBS that have higher ratings? Do they really not have that much confidence in Jeopardy anymore that they'd just bury it like that? icecream 02-08-2022, 11:36 AM ABC is the station that aired the GOAT tournament. This year it is designed as counter programming for the Olympics. ABC is also the station that has aired Celebrity Wheel of Fortune despite regular episodes being in syndication. Burying it would be airing on the CW or My Network TV. ABC is still a major network. Svenfan1234 02-08-2022, 12:55 PM ABC is the station that aired the GOAT tournament. Burying it would be airing on the CW or My Network TV. ABC is still a major network. ABC still gets the lowest ratings, and there is no way Jeopardy would outperform the Olympics. They're high if they think they can. Jeopardy in some areas probably does air on The CW, in my area CBS, but CBS or NBC would be better I would think. ABC, for a main network, regularly gets some of the lowest ratings and the main show is syndicated anyway. I'm still confused, but ABC probably needs the semi-decent ratings. |
