I usually love summer and hate it when I go bcak to school, but this summer is just so bad, I can't wait to start school up again. You all probably think Im really lucky because I have a long summer (May 30 - Sept. 4), but I hate it. I mean it's sooooooooo bad and boring that i'ts not even funny. All my friends are either on vacation or went back to Europe (From the foreign Exchange Program) and i have nothing to do all day. i just work work work and don't get to see nay $$$$ until my 18th birthday. Bogus. I just want to back to school and forget about home know because it's driving me bad. So........if you want to go back to school or not, explain your reasons here why or why not.

Im starting a new school, a private school, which Ive wanted to go to for yrs, Alot of the guys from the brother school are loosers, I like looser guys, and THERE ARE SO MANY BREAKS DURING THE YEAR!!!!!!! I GET NEARLY A MONTH OFF FOR EASTER!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHH H HHHHHH HHHHHHHHH HHHH HHHHH HHHHHHH!

Take me back now. I want books to read, essays to write, projects to do, vocab words to memorize, tests to study, finals to drive myself insane over, and all that other school stuff. Atleast I'll be accomplishing stuff then.

I just hope I get good electives this year. Last year they were awful, with the acception of drama, which was cool.

I wanna go back cuz Ill be in high school. Ill be a freshmen. But I dont wnat to have to get up early. I like school shopping though but i still need to do that.

I hate summer. I need something to do!

Well I start College which I am actually excited for. I am taking night classes so I won't have to get up at 6am.

I'm not ready to go back yet..I hate school but summer does get boring my normal school is getting remodeled so we have to go to a temporary school which is a dump its so hot and smelly..and some of the teachers are so annoying and boring...

I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed to go back to school because summer is so boring.

I'm looking forward to going back to school. I could go another month of two without the work because my brain is still resting after the killer finals I had, but I'm looking forward to seeing my friends again. Also, it will be like a fresh start because I will be driving and able to go places on my own and what not. Of course, I'll be complaining by October that school is boring and I need a break. There's also a minor thing about reading this dern whale book. I'm still stranded on page 35. It has to be one of the worst books I've ever picked up. If I start now I would have to read 29 pages a day up until the day school starts, and that doesn't even count all the essays I will have to right about it. I'm really not looking forward to that, or having to read Greek mythologies all school year long. Ugh....:(




The pros and cons are pretty even, but I have 17 more days to weigh them until I go back...

I'm taking Greek Mythology this year... I'm afraid I'm going to regret it.

I have like 21 days left to be free. I really don't want to go back. I hate the people there.

Im kinda lookin forward to go back to school so i can see my friends, boss around the 7th graders, make funna the losers, get into mischeif etc cuz i miss all that

I am excited over the fact that school will be starting but it doesn't mean that I necessarily want to go school. Ya know.

I've spent my summer watching TV for endless hours, going on-line, and reading. I need a break from this apartment. One can not listen to her grandma complain and talk to herself forever.

But, I hated last year. It sucked. MAJORLY. It can't get any worse. I had the worst teachers, except for Journalism, and it sucked and everything. But, I guess it is better than spending my summer doing nothing.

I ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY DO NOT!!!! WANT TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL!!!!

I hate school and I have one year of pure Hell left. Once I get back to school, I'll have to write stuff I don't want to, read stuff I don't want to...at least over the summer, I can write my own stuff. Now I won't have time. I HATE SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!

Ok i want you to write a 5 page essayon the exports of venezueala and what they provide for the rest of the word. I want the emil in by 6 o'clock tomorrow night and then You are getting on AIM and quizzing you on world capitals. Be prepared. im serious.

I definitly want more summer. I dont completley hate school but I am having the best summer ever. And my novel is just starting to get somewhere, and the pool, and TV and taping old movies.....yeah. i dont want school.

Actually, I dont go back until mid september but i have band camp starting aug 12.

I LOVE block scheduling. Only 4 classes a day. 2 days to do homework. Seeing your math teacher 2 times a week. Heaven. -sigh-

I love block scheduling too... I think it makes the day go waaaaaay faster. And like Chris said two days to do homework is great.. I never want to go back to seven 50 minute classes a day.

At least you had 50 minutes. At my old school we 9 periods a day at 42 minutes a peice. Now I have 4 a day at 90 minutes. (Lunch isn't considered a period here like at my old school) And we have an open campus which makes it sweeter. :D

Ha ha, you sound exactly like me for the last 4 years! Only now, for the first time in my college career, I am not dreading going back because FINALLY I'll actually be studying what I WANT to study. In fact, it's a little exciting.

That said, though, I would never wish away my summer or any part of my life, for that matter.

Life is too short to wish it away. Cherish each and every day you have! I mean that! If you are unhappy just watching TV all summer, then find something you like and DO it! Nothing says you have to wait until school starts again to learn, or to write, if that's your thing. Or maybe try a new activity. Me, I've just gotten into tennis. I used to loathe it, but after giving it a second chance, I've found it's something I really enjoy. Who knew?

I would really enjoy getting the ol' brain juices flowing a bit again, like alot of you. Tell ya what, let's try to think of some fun brain-using stuff to post on the board. I'll hunt down some brain teasers or something, and Chris can quiz us on world capitals! ;) Really though, I've gotta go clean the bathrooms right now (UGH!) but I promise while I am scrubbing those showers I'll try to come up with a fun brain-building topic for all you folks eager to use your brain again!

Block scheduling isn't too bad when you get used to it. I admit, when I was a freshman- I hated block scheduling. But when I got used to it, I figured that it would kill me if I ever went back to the 7 class schedule like they had at my middle school. I guarantee by the time you get used to block scheduling, you'll prob. feel the way I did about it.

I used to get a little excited to go back to school because I wanted to see all the kids and I had all my new clothes and stuff but the novelty usually wore off by the middle of October. College was much more fun. I always looked forward to that. I even took courses during the Summer.
