Every time the Super Bowl debuts every year I noticed that besides the actual Super Bowl a lot of people watch it just for the commercials alone that people like but every year it seems that Super Bowl commercials are not as great as they once were and I want to know what exactly happened to the Super Bowl commercials now? I remember when Super Bowl commercials used to be big deals but if you look at the Super Bowl commercials now they seem to focus on two things and I cannot figure it out. Take for instance it seems that Super Bowl commercials focus on video games and movie trailers and use celebrities to market new products. For example when Mountain Dew launched Major Melon soda last year they had a commercial with John Cena with a contest to guess how many Major Melon sodas were in the commercial during the Super Bowl and it helped sell a lot of soda and Playstation airs a lot of new Super Bowl commercials along with Nintendo to promote new video games and I think those commercials made the Super Bowl commercials not worth seeing. I remember when Super Bowl commercials were about cars and food but now it's about movie trailers video games electronics and now cleaning products like Tide are in the Super Bowl commercials. I wish they would return to the classic style that made the Super Bowl worth seeing in the 80's and 90's and the commercials would be cool again

Hi, Bestie! I stopped watching the Super Bowl a while back. But I used to channel surf over to it and watch the commercials as they would put on extra good ones and tease you with some before the Super Bowl. But they have stopped having new commercials during the game I think, or maybe the new ones they put out are lame. Also the half time shows are lame too. I don't know. Either way, the Super Bowl is not interesting anymore.

Why I think Super Bowl commercials have not been the same anymore is because I think they want to attract the audience that is hoping to give the Super Bowl huge ratings every year. Because even before the Super Bowl debuts you see commercials for pizza chains such as Little Caesars and Domino's and Pizza Hut advertising Super Bowl deals with announcements like "Get a Special Football shaped pizza from Little Caesars to celebrate your team's victory" and it seems like to me pizza places make tons of money from people that order pizza for Super Bowl parties that people throw when the game debuts. But I think also why Super Bowl commercials have gone downhill is that they are mainly a celebrity magnet for celebrities to endorse new products. Take for example why so many car commercials that were Super Bowl commercials were mainly hits because celebrities starred in them. When Jason Bateman became the star of a Hyndai commercial that aired during the 2019 Super Bowl Hyndai sold tons of cars due to Jason Bateman's endorsement in the commercial and the same thing happened when Celine Dion promoted the Chrysler Pacifica in Super Bowl commercials when it debuted and soon became the face of Chrysler and caused her to debut her album One Heart which seemed to be a commercial itself for Chrysler. But as a big affair as the Super Bowl is they should come up with better commercials in the future
