George is having a terrible year in Young Sheldon season 5, but, fortunately, a Big Bang Theory plot hole is preventing it from getting worse.

I really hope they don't go there on George cheating with Brenda. Spin-offs change important details from the parent show often. Frasier resurrected his father and created a brother that was never on Cheers, and Frasier is the greatest spin-off of all time. I don't have a dog in the Maude/Good Times debate, but most people consider Good Times a spin-off despite changing several details from Maude. Young Sheldon has a family comedy audience that is separate some from the TBBT fanbase, that show shouldn't dictate everything that happens here.

I was told at another forum that I go to that whenever Mr. Cooper does commit his act of indiscretion, Sheldon is the person who walks in on it. I was told that he talks about it at some point during the Big Bang Theory show.
