When he got into trouble after going AWOL, the charges were dropped. But he got a transfer to go home with a promotion to LT. Cl. Frank wanted to command the 4077 but was foiled by Potter. Now he got the chance. It was his way of saying he got the last laugh and won. It was funny seeing Hawkeye throw the phone out the door.

It’s too bad that they didn’t bring back Frank Burns for a guest appearance on “After-M*A*S*H.” It would have been fun to see “Ferret-Face,” lock horns once again with Colonel Potter, Max Klinger and Father Mulcahy.

Since they brought back Colonel Flagg, they should have brought back some of the others from the original show, like Nurse Kelly, Sgt. Rizzo and Igor, imo.

Excellent idea.

It would've been great also if the writers included Frank in an ep. in the last season, an official visit to Korea Mash units.

On After Mash, I don't get how it's often criticized. Sure, it was no Mash, but no shows can be as great as Mash (or The Andy Griffith Show, The Twilight Zone, The Bob Newhart Show, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Cheers, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Office, etc.).

I watched After Mash when it aired. I only saw a handful of eps., but it seemed a typical sitcom. It certainly wasn't unwatchable.

I would have loved to have seen episodes with Hawkeye, B.J., Charles and Margaret, showing how they've lived their lives when they got home. I know that Hawkeye went back to Crabapple Cove, Maine so I want to see how he is handling his own practice. I want to see B.J. with his wife Peg and baby girl Erin. Charles was made Chief of thorasic surgery back in Boston. Margaret I don't know but still I would have love to see what have happened to these 4.
