CA person. I had briefly heard it was a 22 yr old young man, but don't know.

Personally, it's obscence that such a mega jackpot is geared to one person, so many more could benefit by a million here and there, the Lottery could work that out somehow.

I Never purchased a lottery ticket.

Just heard after taxes, the winning is ONLY worth $170M.

22! I hope he doesn't spend it all by the time he is 30. I don't play the Powerball or Mega Millions anymore, but I do play The Pick in AZ.

I don't begrudge anybody who comes into or earns a lot of money. Good for them, I say.
I wish them well with it and hope they use it wisely and don't blow it.

.

They do, it's called "taxation". Some of that money will go to pay for food and housing for the Haitian refugees who illegally crossed our border, some more will go to buying viagra for med-cal recipients, providing free daycare for unwed mothers, subsidies to Elon Musk and others for electric vehicle R&D, seed money to leaders of third world countries we hope to encourage to vote with us on United Nations issues, relocation stipends to Afghani refugees "rescued" from the Taliban, and building more bombs for our old friend Israel...what more could anyone want?

Woodland Hills is only about 10 miles from where I live.

And it's about 30-40 minutes from where I live in GOOD TRAFFIC.

No one needs to end up with a lump sum of $170M .. I say spread the wealth around to others.

22 year old winning 170 Million Lump Sum? Yeah, he's going to have a lot of People begging him for money. A 20 year old won like 30 Million Lump Sum and People were begging him for money.
