Hi everyone!

Long-time lurker and (I think) first time poster!

I read this board so frequently, the long-timers seem like old friends. I’m also astounded how long ago some of these threads were started!

Down to business.

It’s clear that many people posting here are disappointed that UM’s reboot on Netflix lacks a host/narrator. Today I was thinking of a possible face and voice for the reboot: Bill Kurtis from Cold Case Files.

While Bill Kurtis is in his 80s, he is still involved with NPR, working on their radio show / podcast Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!.

As a fan of both UM and CCF, I think he would be a great addition to the reboot, bringing a voice and level of gravitas that I think many feel is absent from the reboot.

What do you think?

I'm Bill Kurtis.

No, sorry. Good voice but way too old and too associated with that program. Happy with Steve French if he isn't too afraid to show his face.

I was gonna suggest the main narrator from Disappeared ... but now that you mention it, Steve French would be great. He has a great voice and he is already "in house."

Of course this is all moot unless they are considering a major format change/admitting a misfire on the reboot design.

I think there’s a good chance there will be a format change of some sort. I think a narrator is more likely than a host. Perhaps Steve French will narrate and that’s why the podcast is on hiatus.

Welcome! I love it when lurkers step forward and talk to us! :)

Honestly... I don't care who narrates it as long as they're still producing episodes. :)
