I know that the color sketches are not everyone's cup of booze (hehe). Thanks to a person who used to be on this forum, I was able to acquire this and rare different versions of other episodes like "Without Reservations", "Ralph Kramden Presents", "Nephew of The Bride", "Confusion, Italian Style (I believe that this is the uncut version that is more uncut than MPI released but I am not sure. Only a minute or two is missing) & producer's copy I believe of the Classic 39 episode "Hello Mom."

I will try to post images here and have them lookable. The first image is obvious. The second image is the opening dance number (not seen since its original airdate. The third image is a commercial for cat food. I included it because I think that kittens and small dogs are adorable. The fourth image is Shelia in a Hawaiian outfit (hasn't been seen since its original airdate) The fifth image is for Firestone tires. The sixth image is a rare shot of the orchastra pit of stage of the "Halsey Theater" (aka the stage of the future Fillmore At The Jackie Gleason Theater). The seventh image is an image of a preview of "next week's show" which was "Ralph Kramden Presents."

Here goes nothing.

There's something cool about seeing unedited tapes with the old production slates and baked-in sponsor spots. Also good to know there's still material out there to be found!

I think I remember one of the MPI color sets had a cigarette sponsor intro included. Didn't CBS drop cigarette ads before 1970? If so, which episode was the last one to have a tobacco company sponsor reference? Anyone know?

I acquired the uncut version of this as well. It's a B&W kinoscope. It's funny watching the "CBS presents this program in color" in B&W. The first two screen caps are from the intro and ending of the opening dance number from MPI. The third and fourth ones are from the kinoscope. Notice the difference in running times from the beginning and end. The fifth and sixth screen grab is footage that is not on the MPI DVD whatsoever. It's Glea Girl Greta Von Hagge (nee Randall) doing the sponsor plug. The seventh one is for Purina Cat food. I included it because I think kittens and small dogs are adorable.

There is another ad that I am too lazy to put a screen cap. It's for Caramille candy feeaturing an Indian. I don't think that this ad would fly today but I can be wrong. There is also an ad for Zenith celebrating it's 50th (at the time) anniversary by showing off it's then current TVs. How times have changed. Also, at the end when the Jackie Gleason Show logo appears, Johnny Olsen plugs the "next week's" episode but no clips are shown.

Videowack on his site said he had color Honeymooners episodes (with different openings and different Glea girls.)

Here are some pics from the producer's copies that I have of "Without Reservations." The guy during the slate being shown says it's from the 1970 summer series. The other pics are of the slate for "Nephew of The Bride" where the announcer says it's from the 1970 summer series and we are going to love it. The final pic from that episode is from the preview of "next week's show." This is NOT on the MPI DVDs.
