I've just started watching this again and notice they are always in the kitchen.... Did their apartment have a living room, just a place to relax? I was thinking surely they had to have a sofa, an easy chair or 2, etc some place to just relax and lounge around.... Surely they didn't spend ALL their downtime around the kitchen table sitting in straight chairs.
I know they mentioned the bedroom, was it ever shown?
I was wondering if maybe the bedroom also had living room furnishings, I know many houses used to combine the bedroom and living room

Neither the Kramdens' bedroom nor the sometimes bedroom/sometimes hall closet, was never shown. We surely would never see the washroom, and they did not have a couch or chairs apart from the dining table, and Alice complained about this a couple of times. The main kithchen/sitting room was slightly askew to accomodate the camera views, and there may have been something of a catty-cornered wall through which we watched, that fit the shape of the adjacent apartments and, perhaps, retained the radiator that heated the place (when it worked!).
The living space really was dire.
We know what their bedroom might have looked like, having espied the Nortons' apartment and bedroom in the sleepwalker episode.

Thanks.... Mentioning the 4th wall... I was thinking MAYBE there would have been as easy-chair and/or a sofa along the wall we don't see ~where the camera would be ~ Ralph just seems like the kind of man who would HAVE to have his favorite chair that no one else is allowed to sit in lol I also wondered if they had a TV, or if it was uncommon for ppl of their income to own a TV in those days.
I'm guessing the hall/bedroom closet might have been the type that connected the hall to the bedroom.... just one closet but you could access it from the hall or the bedroom... I just pictured that
