For Christmas I got one of my favorite gifts or shall I call it my ME Gift and it is The Jetsons Complete First Season DVD set. Now before I tell you about this set the reason I refer to this set as my ME Gift is that it is a METV cartoon. I was surprised to get this set and seeing The Jetsons on METV is sometimes hard because of METV problems this set gives me every The Jetsons episode that METV has aired without the problems. Although I haven't begun watching it yet I can't to see it

The interesting thing about the latest Blu-Ray set for season 1: for the first time they used the original ABC network masters.

I think MeTV is using these Blu-Ray masters also--it's too bad very few MeTV affiliates are in HD, because these probably look great in HD.

One thing that I like about The Jetsons 1962-63 season on DVD is that the episode title is seen after the opening credits. As far as I know, the original airings in 1962-63 did not have episode titles, the titles were added later for syndication but I'm glad the titles are included on the DVD set.

Just too bad that the original Jetsons series has only the one season and 24 episodes. The Jetsons was just as entertaining as The Flintstones and deserved a longer run.
