If you are fan of Christian music then you have may have seen Michael W. Smith in concert and release tons of bestselling Grammy and Dove Award winning albums. But when Michael became Target's Valentine's Day spokesman for their commercials he promoted a special deal with a cool commercial to match. You see when you bought Michael's 1991 album Change Your World at a special price in CD or cassette form Target offered a free cassette single of Michael's song Hugs And Kisses which was also featured in the commercial too. You know having Target team up with the biggest names in Christian music really made them huge and I think really helped boost Michael W. Smith's career a lot

I wonder why Target doesn't team up with Christian artists in special promotional commercials anymore? Because it seemed that when Target promoted Valentine's Day in 1991 by having Michael W. Smith in their commercials it made Michael W. Smith a big name and because of the Target commercials I think Michael was trying to become one of Target's big celebrities and it seemed that when his album Change Your World came out I think he was planning to have Target sponsor his tour due to the commercial
