The streaming service said the fourth season had 120 million views in the first 72 hours following its Dec. 31 premiere.

It deserved it because it was that good.

It was also #1 on Netflix upon it's arrival in August 2020, as well as when Season 3 first dropped on January 1, 2021. I'd say that all 3 times it has been well deserved.

The new Star Wars series had 389 million minutes of viewing time for the week of Dec. 27 to Jan. 2. That's compared to 1.03 billion for the Season 2 premiere of The Mandalorian in fall 2020. Cobra Kai knocked The Witcher Season 2 off the top spot with 2.42 billion minutes viewed. The Witcher placed second, followed by Emily in Paris Season 2.
