Voltron was my all-time favorite cartoon! You had the classic good guys verses bad guys, the space battles, the cool characters (except for that nanny). It's just about impossible to find it on anymore, in fact, I don't think I've seen it in years. The Cartoon Network ran it for a while, as did USA on their Cartoon Express, but it seems to have up and disappeared. I didn't like that newer Voltron show as much, but then again I didn't see much of it.

I used to love that show! I haven't seen it in years. The only thing I didn't like on the show is when they replaced Sven with the princess(I don't remember her name) You know Sven dressed in black and the princess girl dressed in pink.

Yeah, I liked Sven a lot more than Princess Allura. Sven, in fact was my favorite good guy character, while Yurak was my favorite bad guy character, neither of which lasted very long. It's too bad they replaced Sven with her though.

As it originally aired in Japan (I think), the storyline was somewhat different, and Haggar actually killed Sven. The guy that turned up later in the US version as Sven, wasn't Sven at all in the overseas version, but his cousin or brother, I believe. I'll have to recheck my facts because it's been a while since I read about it.

yeah, definitely find out. I'd be interested to know if Sven really died.

I occasionally see Voltron films on ebay, but they are few and far between. They are never inexpensive either.

I still have my lion set... Quality stuff......... :)

Here's what I dug up. This (www.angelfire.com/mt/metalformer/toons/voltron.html) is what I managed to find out about Sven. In the unedited Japan version he does die, and the guy that Princess Romelle falls in love with is his twin brother. He too dies, along with Lotor, in the unedited version.

There used to be a website that described the two series', Golion (Lion Force) and Dairugger XV (Vehicle Force), but I can't find it. The two series' were actually unrelated and contained lots of violence, death, and alcohol use, and were meshed together and ultimately edited for the American version we all know as Voltron. Here are a couple of links in case you're interested in reading more about it.
