March 3, 1935 - December 11, 2021 Our dear friend Mimi Cozzens passed away peacefully at the Motion Picture Home in Woodland Hills, CA on December 11th, 2021. She was an Actress who enjoyed a well-rounded career on stage, screen and television that lasted for many a decade. Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, she played a range of roles from coast to coast earning a number of awards and accolades along the way.
A passionate Union activist, she served on the National and Local boards and committees of SAG and AFTRA (as well as SAG-AFTRA once they merged) for many years. She was also a member of the Executive Board of the Performers Peer Group of the National Academy of TV Arts and Sciences.
Outside of acting, Mimi was an accomplished clay sculptor, a trophy winning water-skier and certified scuba diver.
Some notable television and film work includes: The Master, Dandelion Dharma, The Mindy Project, Malcolm in the Middle, Will & Grace, Seinfeld, Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Golden Girls, Columbo, Murder, She Wrote, and so many more….
Her younger sister Faith, whom she loved so much, predeceased her in 1985.
