Ray's late wife apparently adopted Tamera with him but she is never really spoken about. The ghost of Ray’s wife (https://sister-sister.fandom.com/wiki/Ellen_Campbell) makes an appearance on one of the later episodes (https://sister-sister.fandom.com/wiki/Guardian_Angel) but after that, she is never spoken of again. Did she die right after they adopted her?
