I've questioned this now and then with my one daughter, we've had our ups and downs in the 57 yrs she's been in my life. And sometimes would say to my 2 friends who are childless, I kinda envy you. But now it's become more clear the importance of at least one offspring, and then they bring offsprings into the world and Your Life, and yes there are ups and downs but overall more Ups.
The reason I bring this up, is my one childless friend just lost her mom who was 98 so not too shocking, but this friend has lost all her family. Her dad, one brother, her life partner, now mother. She has a brother and niece back East somewhere and that's it and my friend is having a tough time. I see that all now, the importance of a child or 2 in one's life. I'm not into bringing a brood into the world, but 1 or 2 is good as I see it. I had a sister and brother, and lost my sis about 5 yrs ago and my bro and I check in about once a month. We're up in our years.
I've not heard others here on Sitcom talk about any children they may have or anyone's ages here but I have talked about my life. And said very on, there is so much more in life than just sitcoms.
Being the oldest here, I know life can get pretty lonely as we start to lose our family and friends and none of you think this I'm sure. I didn't 20 yrs ago.
Anyway, just some Food for Thought for older age.
