When my mom was channel surfing she found a show on PBS called Rick Steves Europe and I want to know if anyone has seen it before? Mom fell in love with the show and loved hearing and learning all about European landmarks and famous cities. I understand that the show is based on a travel book series of the same name also authored by Rick Steves. I had never even heard of Rick Steves but from what my mom told me he really must be an expert on everything Europe and he is really informative. How did this show come about?

Rick Steves travel shows have been airing on PBS for about 30 years. He has also written several guide books pertaining to European travel. His interest in Europe began when he traveled there with his parents when he was a teen.

And, as Mr. Steves says at the end of each and every episode of his PBS series, “Keep on traveling!”

I must say I am a bit envious of him. I would love to do all that traveling and get paid for it.

Rick Steves Europe has been on PBS for 30 years? I didn't even know that because I thought it was a new series and my mom liked what she saw of it. Mom has always dreamed of going to Europe someday and likes European history and amazing things and when she told me about Rick Steves Europe she thought it was an amazing show. Is Rick Steves gonna do other shows on countries such as China India South America and Africa in the future? Because it would be neat to see
