It was nice seeing Frank Cady on today's Andy Griffith where Otis boycotted the Mayberry jail after rough treatment by Barney, going to Mount Pilot instead.

Well in this case Petticoat Junction was already in its second season when he appeared on the Griffith Show. Interestingly enough that was not his only appearance, he played the Mayberry town drunk before Otis in the series pilot episode which was part of the Danny Thomas Show. He also appeared in a season six episode of TAGS (The Legend of Barney Fife).
