I had a choice of phone or computer. I chose phone. Less anxiety for me on the phone. I have white coat anxiety.

It's convenient but you still have to pay an office call. I have never used it but my son has.

I used one back in May of this year after an in person appt, and as a follow up they offered zoom or tele, I don't use zoom, so took tele and it worked out fine to talk about labs, the office neglected to bill medicare. Their problem. For my May 2022 appt I'll have to decide. I have issues walking anyway and it's a real challenge for me getting around and forget about covid.

every place is different, but for me the nurse called about 10 minutes before my apt. and asked me a few questions then at my scheduled time the doctor texted me and sent a link to click on and "see" her.

So what happened when you clicked on the link? Did your doctor diagnose you through web chat?

yes, we were able to do the "visit" over the phone

Yes, at the beginning of the Covid in 2020 when everything closed down even Drs.offices , I needed blood pressure meds refill and had an over the phone appointment ! She just asked me how I was feeling, etc and got my prescription to the pharmacy ! ;)

And around that time my psychotherapist for my anxiety disorder was just working on the phone and she actually has never went back to her office ! So once a month now I just have my session via phone instead of going to her office, which is fine for me , much more convenient ! :)
