I've got recordings set on Frndly TV. MA 11-24-2021, 06:31 PM Is this replacing anything? BigManMike 11-24-2021, 07:28 PM Is this replacing anything? Looks like it’s replacing Silver Spoons. Would be nice if this channel had more 70s and 80s shows. Bonniegirl 11-24-2021, 10:18 PM I was just noticing on Monday listing gac is adding whos the boss to the Lineup What is Gac ?? stevea 11-24-2021, 10:20 PM Looks like it’s replacing Silver Spoons. Would be nice if this channel had more 70s and 80s shows. Yes, they discontinued Silver Spoons a few weeks back, and doubled up on Jeannie. Frank Gannucci 11-24-2021, 11:02 PM What is Gac ?? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/GAC_Family With a name like Gac, I am wonder if people will think that thus channel is associated with Nickelodeon? stevea 11-24-2021, 11:26 PM Yes, GAC, which was Great American Country, has rebranded as GAC Family. Some are saying they are a Hallmark clone, since they run a fair amount of Christmas movies. It was previously owned by Scripps, then Discovery, and thank goodness, they divested it to GAC Media. I say thank goodness because many of the Discovery channels are formatted with junk reality shows, some of which previously spilled over onto GAC. But GAC Family is really nothing like Hallmark, other than the similarity of their movies. They don't go off the deep end with the movies like Hallmark does, running them 24/7--they run several sitcom blocks--Hazel, Father Knows Best, Who's the Boss?, Jeannie, Bewitched. We already do know one thing they do--if a show doesn't meet their goals, they pull it quickly. Silver Spoons was only on for a few weeks and was yanked. It seems Silver Spoons just does not "play" anymore, as Antenna TV has had problems with it, too. opus 11-25-2021, 12:20 AM Is this replacing anything? Probably. I doubt GAC was running time slots of dead air. opus 11-25-2021, 12:21 AM I see GAC (I like saying GAC. Any Seinfeld fans remember Todd?) runs sitcoms in 36 minute time slots. stevea 11-25-2021, 12:31 AM (I like saying GAC. Any Seinfeld fans remember Todd?) Just guessing...a guy Elaine dated? I remember the name. opus 11-25-2021, 12:57 AM Just guessing...a guy Elaine dated? I remember the name. That’s him. Todd Gack, which is how I say the network They probably think of themselves as Gee-ay-cee though. MA 11-25-2021, 07:43 AM Looks like it’s replacing Silver Spoons. Would be nice if this channel had more 70s and 80s shows. Thank you. TMC 03-04-2022, 05:10 AM Are the episodes on GAC Family unedited (in other words, they're pretty much all intact and like they were when they originally aired on ABC) compared to say, when they aired on Nick at Nite circa 2004-05. I bring Nick at Nite up because the those appear to be the primary source of finding streamed episodes since Who's the Boss? isn't officially available on DVD post Season 1. TMC 05-24-2022, 05:15 AM Is GAC Family slowly phasing Who's the Boss? out from their schedule? For the past few weeks or so, they've reduced their airings to only a day long marathon on Wednesdays. It appears that The Facts of Life has for all intent and purposes, taking its spot in the weekday schedule. TMC 12-30-2022, 12:00 AM It appears (https://www.radiodiscussions.com/threads/great-american-family.757859/) that Who's the Boss? (https://greatamericanfamily.com/show/whos-the-boss-2/) won't be back on GAC Family when its regular programming (https://www.greatamericanfamily.com/schedule/) returns in January 2023. |
