Are there any restaurants that have them on their regular menu? The "Country Chef" salad at Cracker Barrel used to, but I have not been there in years. If you're really jonesing for some you might call and ask. Years ago, they also were served at the restaurant on the 13th floor of Summit Square down town. This location has since closed and re-opened as a separate business, but it might be worth giving them a call, also Caroline13 11-24-2021, 02:35 PM I don't remember ever seeing deviled eggs at restaurants. Maybe on some buffets but I have not been to one in many years. They are really easy to make, Ice. I have not made them in years but we had some members bring them to our bridge games for snacks. I make a lot of egg salad these days. Also easy and often add tuna and chopped onions and dashs of cayenne. Time to make some maybe this weekend. I wanted to say "Golden Corral", because I could have sworn that I saw some the last time that I was there, but they have their menu online, and it says nothing about deviled eggs. I suspect they were popular to offer at buffets because they always try to entice you to fill up on cheaper stuff, and be too full to focus on costlier items. dakert 11-24-2021, 06:09 PM I know at Church picnics someone always brings deviled eggs. If the catacombs are near Altoona I would be happy to make some deviled eggs :) icecream 11-24-2021, 06:56 PM I know at Church picnics someone always brings deviled eggs. Janice Johnson 11-28-2021, 12:18 PM I don't get why you would PAY for deviled eggs at a restaurant when they are easy to make yourself at home. Just a hard boiled egg with vinegar, mayonnaise, lemon, Dijon mustard, salt, hot sauce, etc. ThisLittlePiggy 11-28-2021, 01:23 PM https://tolonrestaurant.com/menu/ ThisLittlePiggy 11-28-2021, 01:25 PM https://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/basic-deviled-eggs Bonniegirl 11-28-2021, 10:01 PM Yeah, Deviled eggs aren't really a restaurant food per se , much more a picnic food made in the home !!:) But I'm thinking a BBQ buffet type themed restaurant would be a good place to offer Deviled eggs ! ;) |
