Good NEWZ Girls will consist of 17-year-old The Voice alum Mikaela Astel, 17-year-old Monster High star Nayah Damasen, 16-year old Isabel Gonzalez and 17-year-old Baylee Morrison. "This is a rare music group created by a TV network outside of a reality series," according to Deadline. "(There are no current plans for Good NEWZ Girls to headline a series for Nick.) This is part of a new larger Nickelodeon music strategy to develop and sign young artists and market them within the Nickelodeon ecosystem and externally. Just like Disney Nickelodeon has always liked to make celebrities add singing careers to their resume. Look at Ariana Grande and Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande has hit a home run thanks to Nickelodeon selling millions of albums and Victoria Justice became a singing star for a time as did Miranda Cogsgrove. With Good Newz Girls I think Nickelodeon has plans to turn them into stars and they will be huge like Spice Girls was and if they do well Nickelodeon Records might just make Good Newz Girls a rising group in the future
