You have allergy issues and pains and don't know why, could be peanuts if you eat them, any form of them.

I have not eaten them in some yrs, last time I ate some, my joints were on fire with pain. **

This goes for Peanut Butter as well.

And Many have High Allergic reactions and NEED to be far away from peanuts.

Let’s start with the basics. Peanuts are not actually a nut at all. They are classified as a legume, just like a bean or a chickpea. Unlike almonds, which grow on trees, peanuts grow underground in the soil. During their growth, while the warm, moist earth surrounds them, they are often exposed to mold and fungus. Unfortunately, the fungus causes contamination of the peanuts and ends up producing cancer-causing compounds known as aflatoxins.

Produced by the Aspergillus fungus, these aflatoxins are, as the name implies, highly toxic and can cause food intolerances and other diseases in both livestock and humans. Aflatoxins have been linked to a variety of health issues, including possible growth impairment in children and developmental delays*.

Many people have switched to almond and cashew butters since they have peanut issues.

Thanks for your concern in posting things like this. I know you have several devout critics who seem to resent your existence. NEVER let them get you down. They can always choose to not read, instead of their obsession for reading, then bellyaching.

I personally do not eat peanutbutter, canned corn, or hotdogs....mostly because of their "cheap but filling" qualities.

I feel that I am entitled to a higher perch in the food chain.

Concern? I like to bring an awareness to people who are probably asleep at the wheels of their lives and health. Many many are asleep, in so many areas.

On the peanut butter, my family didn't raise children on these peanuts....We were a meat and potato generation.

Reminds me of when my grandson entered preschool, the school sent out health alarms on bringing peanut butter sandwiches as a couple little ones had horrid reactions to peanuts, so my daughter had to regroup in sending his lunch.

I stopped eating peanut butter awhile back. Started back on PB. My sinuses are out of control, and I feel achy. Let's see how I feel in a couple of days.
