View Full Version : Rude YouTube Uploaders? :/
Janice Johnson 11-14-2021, 03:48 PM I was watching an Anti Scam video where the YouTube Uploader warns against a Scam that gets you to call them, not the other way around. He seemed so nice in the actual video, but in his actual Comments, he is rude, condescending, insulting, nasty to his Posters. I was astounded, APPALLED, STUNNED, SHOCKED at MANY of his rude Comments to his Commentators. Here is an example of his rude at best Comments. Poster. "I saw right through this scam in the 90's. His reply was, "Good for you." The UPLOADER rolled his eyes at his Poster. The UPLOADER was replying like this, NOT a random Poster. At least one Poster called him out on his nasty Comments, saying something like,"I don't appreciate being insulted by the Uploader when all I did was mention this Scam was easy to see through." Thank God I wasn't the only one taken back by the Uploader's NASTY Comments...

Caroline13 11-15-2021, 04:11 PM Rude has been the driving force as I've experienced since very early this year. Probably a little sooner but I can count on the forums I've entered into since early this year.
The youtubes I've experienced, no rude issues there. I don't hang on the youtube world unless a topic is brought to my attention.
RetroGuy2000 11-15-2021, 06:23 PM Janice J., don't worry about rude comments on YouTube. When my friend introduced me to the platform in 2006, his comment was, "Never read the comment section of a YouTube video." It's always going to be a mixed bag... some good, some terrible. If the video creator's worst comment is "Good for you (with a sarcasm face)", that's way better than what I've seen from many social media accounts. I think the worst comments I've ever seen on social media were during the Amy's Baking Company fiasco, when the owners were caught on video stealing their servers' tips, and they went on social media writing "F*** you!", etc., to thousands of commenters who were outraged that they stole tips, swore at people, and resold pre-packaged desserts, claiming they were "homemade". Worst social media meltdown ever.
Yes, it would be nice if the Internet were a more civil place, and I agree you wouldn't expect an uploader to get rude on his/her own page, but it does happen. Those 'Comment' sections can get brutal. I will give the same advice I was given back in 2006: "Never read the comments section of a YouTube video." Then, if you do choose to read comments, and they are nice, you will be pleasantly surprised.
I have a couple of YouTube channels. The comments are largely positive. Occasionally, I get a rude one, and I just remove it. But not everyone thinks to do that.

You claimed people here were "sheeple" and recommended America's Frontline Doctors without disclosing the fact that you have relatives who are making money ($20,000 per month!) on Patreon on America's Frontline Doctors' videos. Of course people didn't respond kindly to that. That's spam.
Occasionally, I get a rude one, and I just remove it. But not everyone thinks to do that.
Sorry, occasionally I get grumpy.

The "Good for you," was actually one of the milder ones. This Uploader straight up used ,"Stupid," Ass hole," "I hate People like you," when responding to his Posters. Unacceptable.

We all know it's because Barbara Cooper quickly got expelled from Eastland. Warren Littlefield decided there were "too many girls" at a girls' school and Barbara was sent back to Indianapolis; her crossover episode went unaired. ODAAT fans have been bitter ever since.

That's crazy!

Thank you. I was beyond STUNNED that the UPLOADER was speaking to his Posters this way. He seemed so nice in his actual video, it's a complete 180...

I definitely don't understand why an uploader would do that; you want people to like, comment, and subscribe.

Backtracking a bit to your first post in here, what YouTube channels do you have? Are they all FOL videos?

I have two work-related YouTube channels, and then one for fun TV viewing (https://www.youtube.com/c/TheRetroGuy2000/videos).

Ironically, he did invite his Posters to like, comment, and subscribe.

I just left an inane comment on one of the videos for you to erase (You'll quickly recognize it )

If you leave it there and some FOL-er wanders in and replies to me along the lines of "What the :censored: are you talking about!?!", be sure to let me know
