I haven't seen that ep in a long while, but I totally can picture/ remember Edna . I just researched her , the actress name is Tamu Blackwell ! I remember her also from an ep. Of Maude, also her IMDB says she guest starred on The Jeffersons and Mary Tyler Moore ! ;)

She was on Maude twice, the one who bamboozled Maude out of money so she could run away with her boyfriend. I think she lied and said her father was an abusive alcoholic. If that's the right girl, she looks nothing like Bernadette Stanis! Also, from what I remember, she's pretty short whereas Bernadette is kinda tall. And in the face, not even close.
