If you grew up in the 80's you probably had cassettes of The Motels. The Motels were one of the biggest female bands and had hits with the songs Only The Lonely "not the Roy Orbison song" and Take The L. I didn't even know about The Motels until I got an 80's album and it had Take The L and I thought The Motels were a cool band

The Motels most recent album is "The Last Few Beautiful Days", released in 2018. My favorite Motels album is "Shock", released in 1985. Several good tunes on that album.

The Motels released a new album in 2018? I didn't know that they made a comeback. I got to listen to another song of The Motels called Suddenly Last Summer and it was such a cool song

I remember the Motels also. I liked Suddenly Last Summer more than Only the Lonely. The Motels feature a female lead singer, (Martha Davis) but it is not really a female band. I would say the Go Gos or the Bangles would be considered female bands. Not sure if you meant to call it a female band or not, but the rest of the members of the band are all male.
