Perhaps you remember seeing Cocoon? That sci-fi movie from 1984 that's considered to be one of the best sci-fi movies made. I wonder why they never thought of remaking Cocoon because it's so amazing with it's neat storyline and effects. This movie is also one of my mom's favorites too because of the story. They also made Cocoon II that is also amazing too

Saw both in the theater when they came out, the sequel was good but no where as good as the original.
