View Full Version : NICK @ NITE August, effective Aug 12..
Pavan 07-20-2002, 10:28 AM NICK @ NITE Summer Camp will continue to air until Sept 2 (Summer Camp ends after Sept 1 airing), Sun-Thurs 10pm-6am now, with the same shows each day as it is now.
Fridays and Saturdays will be different it will be like this:
10-11pm Cosby Show
11pm-12am Cheers
12-1am Cosby Show
1-2am All in the Family
2-3am Cheers
3-4am Three's Company
4-5am Family Ties
5-6am Charles in Charge
A new boy in the neighborhood is coming to Nick at Nite! "Charles in Charge" starring "Happy Days" alum Scott Baio. With Willie Aames, Nicole Eggert, Jennifer Runyon, James Callahan and Ellen Travolta.
Nick at Nite's 3-6am schedule Fri/Sat starting August 16th is probably the best of the night.
3am and 3:30am Three's Company
4am and 4:30am Family Ties
and 5 and 5:30am Charles in Charge.
Yes, 5am and 5:30am is a terrible slot, but it could be at a better time or better yet move to TNN.
I expect Kids Say to leave in Sept when Coach comes...Stay tuned in this thread for updates.
Czas na Zywiec 07-20-2002, 11:48 AM Wow. So there's a possibility of noe Three's Company and family Ties? Well I dont get N@N so it doesn't matter, but still. Oh well.
LucyCompanyPhan 07-20-2002, 11:54 AM UGH! im starting to hate N@N more & more as the days go on

No, there is a 100% chance both shows will be on between 3-6am. Maybe:
3-4am TC
4-5 AITF
5-6am FT
or 3-4am FT
4-5 TC
5-6 AITF
I'll know by Monday

Ohh ok. Just wondering that's all.
DarleneIllyria 07-20-2002, 01:37 PM This is getting to be so ******* ridiculous. Sorry about that everyone, but Nick at Nite is quickly approaching to be one of the most avoided channels on my tv.
If TC or FT leaves, NAN is off of my favorites and I wish that it goes bankrupt! I'm sorry but, NAN is fully employed with dumb bastards.
DandR 07-20-2002, 02:21 PM Oh the variety is SO outstanding. No wonder I can't wait to tune in everynight. Does anyone else think that they should air only one show?
Wait August 12. It is still Summer. Is Nick at Nite ending their annual daily Summer marathons early?

Yes, it was announced for July 7 to Aug 11.

I agree. If they drop TC, I'm definatly not watching it anymore. 4 episodes of "The Cosby Show" in three hours? That is really really ridiculous.
LucyFan 07-20-2002, 05:12 PM Nick at Nite has totally went from bad to worst. But oh well, I don't watch the channel anymore. I quit a long time ago. But still it is annoying to see what Nick at Nite is and becoming.
I wish my "basic" cable line-up will change so that TV Land and
Nick/N@N can switch places:
"Basic" cable: From Nick/NAN to TV Land
"Expanded" cable: To TV Land to Nick/N@N

Woah! I'm happy TC is on. I wasn't expecting CiC to come to N@N when I heard they acquired it, but I'm happy it is :)
Impressions 07-20-2002, 06:02 PM That is VERY sad, Nick-at-Nite has no idea what they are doing! Are they do this intentionly, or are they doing this to make us mad?
TVJunkie101 07-20-2002, 06:23 PM twinkle44301, what "guide" are you talking about? LOL, I want to know so I can subscribe! Is it a satellite TV guide? I know, strange questions!
Anyway, that is cool if Charles in Charge is really come to Nick, even if it is 5:00am, but I get both feeds (east & west) on DirecTV so I can see it 8am (if CiC does indeed come).
twinkle44301 07-20-2002, 06:45 PM TVJunkie...
We have one of those huge (old) satellite dishes, and our satellite provider (Netlink) provides us with a monthly guide. However, we are dropping service with them since we recently went with Everest (they provide phones, Internet and cable all in one package). I just need to call and cancel, but I wanted to wait until I got my August guide.
We will still get quite a bit of free stuff on the satellite, including all the feeds, which is about my favorite part of the large dishes.
Our new guide is weekly, so If I want monthly information, I will need to go to the store and look at the Orbit satellite guide. I will miss my guide, but I also am enjoying all the new channels I have that I didn't get on my old dish!
I don't know if you can get their guide unless you subscribe or not, but their # is: 1-800-617-3193. We get the C-band issue, and I wonder if they have a 4-D one or not (that is what I ordered from our new weekly guide...they had C-band/4D, Direct & Dish). I think it is called Satellite Weekly. I had a hard time finding a guide that has all the channels we have, but this one came real close...
TVJunkie101 07-20-2002, 07:29 PM Thanks for the scoop! I'll probably check it out. I'm gonna scout my local stores for the Orbit one, because I remember seeing it at a local grocery store a while back...
GoldenFamilyTies 07-20-2002, 08:03 PM If CIC comes that would be great, but N@N is... oh.... CRAPPY!! The minute they get rid of FT and TC, I'm not watching anymore. Actually, I don't watch now, I just record the episodes. I almost have the entire series of FT. Once I do, I'm not watching N@N. (except if CIC comes)
Pavan 07-20-2002, 08:51 PM I think twinkle will be right. I'll get the confirmation on it by Monday. Finally a new show and a good one!

Yea but at such a bad time. Why at like 5:00 am? Not many people are up at that time. But like I said, I don't get N@N, so it's not a problem for me, excpet I wanna watch Cosby Show! I Miss that show and neevr get to see it. :(:(:(
twinkle44301 07-20-2002, 08:58 PM TVJunkie..
My post is a little confusung. Here is what I should have said...
We now have Netlink (which comes with a monthly guide).
We are switching to cable and I subscribed to Satellite Weekly guide (it was the closest I could find to our cable channels).
Orbit is another guide for satellites that is available in the stores. I haven't checked it out lately to see how accurate it is...
Which brings me to this...I posted what was printed in my Netlink guide, but since it is a monthly guide, the schedule isn't always right. I would imagine Charles in Charge will be on, but pavanbadal will be able to confirm this for sure....

I'd assume in September it will have a better slot. I know the deal is only through May 25, 2003, like I reported a few months back, but I just didn't know when it was going to be aired. It could even go to TNN in September, who knows, just stay tuned ...

Yep. Thanks.
GoldenFamilyTies 07-21-2002, 02:01 AM pavanbadal, do you think Family Ties has a large chance of being cut from the schedule for good? (from N@N at least)

I doubt it, but maybe in a year or so or less, it could move to TNN I think. Maybe when Roseanne comes? Only time will tell...
vienna waits 07-21-2002, 11:51 AM That's awesome!! I love Charles In Charge.. but 5 am??? I guess I'll set a tape each night for it.
Attmay 07-21-2002, 12:49 PM Nick-at-Nite: Proudly itrritating intelligent fans of vintage TV since God knows when!
If I ran this dumb operation, I would only show each program ONCE per evening, no more than that, to avoid oversaturation. And I'd rescue Diff'rent Strokes from the Black-Bar afflicted TNN.
twinkle44301 07-21-2002, 01:59 PM IMO, TNN hosed itself when they started that black-bar stuff. I haven't watched it since. I am sure there are people out there who don't mind the bar, but it bothers me. I hate watching scrunched-up tv.
And I would also watch N@N more often if they didn't repeat everything each day. And a little more variety of shows daily would be a nice thing also... :)
Brian 07-21-2002, 03:39 PM Kids Say the Darndest Things again?? How N@N got good ratings is beyond me and things are just getting worse.
Central Perk 07-21-2002, 06:54 PM I personally enjoy the lineup but I wish Cheers was on earlier..and no more kids say along with TC...I know a lot of you think its not fair that I'm complaining for Cheers to be on earlier but I just want to enjoy it on a good timeslot while it lasts because I can see it going to a later timeslot soon..Its not going to get better just worse because their lineup is getting the best ratings they have ever gotten.
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 07-23-2002, 02:55 AM PBLEW!! That SUCKS!:livid: Whatever happened to N@N being *the place for tv hits* and CLASSIC tv?? Heeeellllllllooo Cheers ended like, 6 years ago! My God! Why dont they put on Mr.Ed or Patty Duke--GOOD TV. I used to be OBSESSED with the channel, now their lucky if Im still up to even catch 3's Co-one of my fav. shows, 3am what a sucky timeslot! I stopped watching when Diffrent Strokes and the Brady Bunch were finally given the ax. They shouldve stuck with Happy Days, L&S, I Love Lucy, MTM, etc....they need to stop with the TVland-not EVERYONE gets it, and put some REAL effort into N@N! Whatever happened to BlockPartySummer and the oh so awesome Casey Kacem and his holiday 25 countdown?!? N@N, quite frankly sucks, and I thought I would NEVER say that, seeing how it used to be my favorite station. Now, I turn in and I always catch Cheers or the Cosbys. Yeah, the Cosby show is cool and all...but c'mon-- is that the ONLY show?!?:livid: I officially hate N@N. Bewitched and the Wonder Years need to come back too!
TVJunkie101 07-23-2002, 07:50 AM I have no problem with The Cosby SHow & Cheers being added, but the fact that they're on 4 times a night is a bit much, even though I always love to tune in when ABSOLUTELY nothing else is on, but I mean, what pisses most of us off is the fact that they completely skipped other programming: "Gimme a Break" "One Day at a Time" "Benson" "Mr. Belvedere" "Silver Spoons" "227" "Webster" "Charles In Charge" (well, it MAY be coming in August) and the list does go on. I still am puzzled as to why they couldn't add all of these, and keep FT, AITF & TC? They COULD make it work, but instead they chose to "reinvite" the NBC Thursday Night lineup (Family Ties, Cheers & Cosby Show). At least they HOPEFULLY added Charles in Charge, even if it's at 5:00am.

Sean Snow 07-23-2002, 11:39 AM Hmm They're skipping the first season of "Charles in Charge".
You can tell how bad a network is by how much color they have in the logo. Case in point is TNN, now N@N has added blue. NICK has gotton sooooooo bad. They need to go back to clasics.
GoldenFamilyTies 07-30-2002, 09:54 PM N@N's logo is pretty annoying... I'd much rather have one like TVLands for N@N.
Pavan 08-08-2002, 09:53 AM THERE HAS BEEN A LAST MINUTE CHANGE:
Summer Camp will continue to air until Sept 2 (Summer Camp will end after the Sept 1 airing), Sun-Thurs 10pm-6am now, with the same shows each day as it is now.
Fridays and Saturdays will be like this:
10-11pm Cosby Show
11pm-12am Cheers
12-1am Cosby Show
1-2am All in the Family
2-3am Cheers
3-4am Three's Company
4-5am Family Ties
5-6am Charles in Charge
So Charles in Charge will air 4 times a week (two days a week).
Check the September Programming thread for the Sept info...
TVJunkie101 08-08-2002, 11:51 AM Just to be 100% sure, Charles in Charge now starts in September? Which is obviously what you said... lol, just want to be 100% sure. Or is it still in August? LOL. I read your post in the CIC forum and both have me a bit confused...
And now it will only air TWO days a week? sheesh.
So, UNTIL September, CIC will only air two days a week, then after that...?
Pavan 08-08-2002, 12:06 PM Originally posted by TVJunkie101

No No, CiC starts next Friday night, it will air Fri/Sat nights 5-6am. In September (so far atleast) it is scheduled 7 days a week at 5-6am.
Blair85 08-08-2002, 12:16 PM Does N@N just buy old shows that were on TBS or WGN???? I'm personally getting tired of camp N@N! If I hear that song again, I'm killing the TV!!!!!! I know, maybe I don't have to watch it...
-The weather's getting warm. The sky is shining bright, so pack up your trunk...FOR CAMP NICK AT NITE!!!!!!-
Sean Snow 08-08-2002, 12:38 PM *gasp* More Camp N@N? Eww! Only good thing about August on N@N is that TC is getting a weekend slot and CiC is airing.

That's exactly what they are doing. They are buying TBS and WGN's hand me downs. I agree, if I hear that song one more time I'm going to stick a pitchfork in whoever is sitting near me.
TVJunkie101 08-08-2002, 03:40 PM I agree guys. N@N is in a SAD state right now. I CANNOT STAND that stupid little jingle anymore with the head cut-outs bouncing up and down. N@N has SO gone down hill. I mean, why doesn't TBS just keep Coach, Roseanne & Cosby Show? They belong on that network, at least for another 5 or so years.... Anyway...
Thanks for clearing that up Pavan. Glad CIC is still coming in August. I pretty much realized what you meant before coming back and reading your reply (I had to re-read your original posts a few times tho, lol). Well, that'll make it a little easier to record, two days a week in August.
Camp NAN is TERRIBLE. The worse thing is that the heads don't even bounce on the words in time with the music.

That's pretty selfish of you to want TVLand to stop adding classic programming. Just because you don't have TVLand that doesn not give you the right to not want others to enjoy the channel.

I know you weren't talking to me JT, but I wanted to reply to your post anyway. I agree somewhat with what you're saying. I'm so happy that I have tvland, because if I was stuck with N @ N- I would probably find more entertainment staring at the wall.
For those that don't have tvland, have you tried calling your cable company and asking that they add tvland? Yeah, I sound just like the tv commericial for tvland. Oh joy.....

LOL, I odn't even have N@N to begin with. The only thing close I have is TNN. And I am thankful that I have Hallmark to, so I could at leaste see FOL. I dont' haveTVLand either, but form the looks of it, I rather have TV-land than N@N.
