Where is Meyer's Lake? I mean where is the actual lake that was used for the show?

I wasn't going to look this up, but in the process of searching for a possibly non-existent pet dog I have found it.

It's in Los Angeles in the Franklin Canyon area north of Beverly Hills.

Driving directions: Go south on Franklin Canyon Drive at Mulholland Drive. Ignore the sign that says the road ends in 800 feet. The road will take you to the lake...or what's left of it.

23 years after this post mentioning "what's left of it," anyone have an update on the current state of "Myer's Lake?"

Thanks, Sarah.

It doesn't look so good at first glance.

I don't see the thread where the opening of Andy and Opie going to be fishing hole, Opie throws a rock into the lake. On tonight's episode we see the rock splash into Myer's Lake.

It's an early episode, Elinor Donohue is in it, the one of the guy recording the local musicians.
