Tuesday’s opening game averaged 10.81 million, up from the 9.2 million who tuned in for the 2020 World Series Game 1, which was played at a neutral site due to the pandemic. But this year's Game 1 was still below the pre-pandemic low of 12.19 million viewers in 2014.

Maybe a pitch clock can restore America's affection for the game? It certainly couldn't be the carpet bombing with ads that cause viewers to lose interest....(lol)

Amytime one of the big "coast" teams is not in the series, you immediately start hearing the whining about low TV ratings.....been that way for 50 years that I know of.

World Series ends as the No. 2 lowest-rated ever (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/tv-ratings-tuesday-nov-2-2021-1235041863/)

Although the 2021 World Series was up 20% from last year's worst-rated series, it averaged fewer viewers than any other pre-pandemic World Series.

Baseball's owners have prioritized the business aspect over the emotional and dramatic, for the past 10+ years. The baseball post season is now more of a tournament than it is a championship. WAY too much advertising, but by all means, let's blame pace of play.

Funny, but I think that greed is going to kill professional baseball.
