I believe 100% that Dale Kerstetter was killed there at the plant and his body was disposed of elsewhere. There are several reasons I believe this.
-He left behind everything he owned.
-His daughters, when interviewed, were not the slightest bit concerned that he may have stolen the platinum and I am almost certain they would have helped him evade the authorities if they knew his whereabouts. He appeared to have a very close relationship with his family. They would have known where he was if this was something he planned.
-He had no prior criminal record and at his age, it's not likely he would have started a life of crime. Also, if he had committed the theft, he would have no reason to remain hiding after the statute of limitations expired.
-If you look at the bag that the masked intruder wheeled out, it was very bulky. There was more in that bag than 25 lbs of platinum. I definitely can see that it could have contained a human body.
The arguments that that he was in on the theft hold no water. He was unhappy about taking a pay cut. Of course he was. Who among us would be happy about that? He had debts. A lot of people do. It didn't seem he was having much trouble trouble managing his debt and had access to money if he needed it.
I think too much significance was given to him looking right at the camera. I definitely don't buy that he was flaunting a crime. If that was the case, why was he not seen on camera again? Seems to me if he already flaunted his crime, he wouldn't have cared about being on camera afterward. Unless you are exceptionally dimwitted, if you are going to commit a crime and you know cameras are around, you will make every effort to conceal yourself from them.
That brings me to my last point. Why were there only three cameras in a 110,000 sq foot factory and why was there only one person working overnight security, especially when that person allegedly was a mediocre employee? No wonder they got robbed. The HR guy or whoever it was they interviewed was a heartless *****. His only concern was the company's financial loss, a loss that may not have happened if not for their piss poor security.
