What pairing made you scratch your head because you couldn't see them getting together in the first place?

I didn't like the pairing of Niles & Daphne on Frasier. Daphne should have remained a fantasy for Niles. In reality, the two had absolutely nothing in common. Niles was hot for Daphne for years and years but Daphne was only interested in Niles when she found out about his feelings for her and after he married Mel. I didn't like Mel, but Niles made marriage vows to her. I thought it was disgusting that he dumped Mel after only a few days when he learned of Daphne's feelings for him. Daphne and Niles were both disgusting IMO.
