Barney Miller is the only long-running comedy in history that waited until the final season to win its first Emmy for best comedy. Hal Linden plays the titular character who is the boss captain at the 12th Precinct police station. Max Gail (Wojo) and Ron Glass (Harris) are the only other regulars who appeared in every season. Barney Miller aired 8 seasons on ABC from 1975-1982. Starting out was Abe Vigoda as Fish, who later got spun off into his own show. Gregory Sierra played Chano for the first two seasons. Barbara Barrie played Barney's wife Elizabeth. The show started out as a mix between his home life and precinct, but the home part was quickly dropped. Jack Soo played Nick Yemana. He died near the end of season 5. Steve Landesburg played Arthur Dietrich, who became a regular after Fish left. Also starring Ron Carey as Levitt and James Gregory as Inspector Luger.

He is a mighty little man. Young Sheldon just started its 5th season on CBS. When Sheldon Cooper took over The Big Bang Theory, a spin-off/prequel was greenlit. They cast the perfect actor to portray 9 year old Sheldon, Iain Armitage. Also starring Raegan Revord as Sheldon's twin sister Missy, Montana Jordan as his brother Georgie, Zoe Perry as his mother Mary, Lance Barber as his father George, and Annie Potts as his grandma Mee Maw. Jim Parsons who was the original Sheldon is the narrator here. Wallace Shawn from The Princess Bride has had a nice recurring role as Dr. John Sturgis.
