Christopher 12-03-2002, 08:15 PM Is TVography like a behind the scenes show? I never heard of this show, probably because I never watch this channel. Is it a 1 hour show or 30 minutes? Thank you for posting this.

TVography is a documentary type of show, it's an hour long. It's like E!'s TV Tales and SORT of like the E! THS.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! I NEVER THOUGHT THEY WOULD DO AN AMC ONE!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS SWEET MUSIC TO MY EARS!!!!!!!!!!!!! But it's a month away, though. I'm DEFINATLY taping this one! But one thing puzzles me. Will it go through the history of the show, or will they show how the show is made? I hope it's the former, because tracking down PV's history is what I REALLY want to see! This is gonna really fill my site up with some sweet nector, baby! *dies* THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Biography(R) Announces Diverse Slate In 3Q 2003 -- Ranging From Actors Kevin Costner, Will Smith And Doris Roberts To A Biography Special On The Children Of U.S. Presidents
Launching Nationwide Marketing Campaign Featuring The Photos Of Renowned Photographer Annie Leibovitz
LOS ANGELES, July 11 -- A&E Network heats up even more this
summer with an exciting and always-eclectic slate of premieres from its acclaimed, Emmy Award-winning series, BIOGRAPHY(R). July and August bring a host of premieres featuring such individuals as actors Paul Newman, Kevin Costner, Will Smith, TV personality Jane Pauley, musical phenoms, the Dixie Chicks and music producer Phil Spector, among many others.
Upcoming on BIOGRAPHY in 3Q03, is a diverse and entertaining array of people:
-- DORIS ROBERTS (Mon. July 21) - In 1996, CBS introduced one of television's classic moms, Marie Barone, the meddling mother of Raymond Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond. The role even further elevated Roberts' already-star quality. BIOGRAPHY explores her road to stardom.
-- WILL SMITH (Weds. July 23) - Grammy-winning recording artist, Academy Award-nominated actor and dedicated philanthropist, Will Smith continues his reign as one of the most successful performers in Hollywood history. Also from hit movies and the TV-series: "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air."
-- PAUL NEWMAN (Sun. August 3) - Paul Newman has come to embody the role of heroic leading man not only on film but in real life. Spectacular film clips, rare screen tests, never-before-seen home movies, archival photographs and revealing interviews illuminate the public and private life of the Oscar(R)-winning actor.
-- KEVIN COSTNER (Tues. August 12) - The 'guy next door' actor opens the door to his successful career as the modern, soft-spoken leading man. Costner's close friends speak candidly about the actor/director, businessman and perfectionist whose movies have broken barriers and box office records.
-- TOM CLANCY (Thurs. August 14) - Master of the military thriller. The respected author of a string of bestsellers - including The Hunt for Red October and Patriot Games - has achieved cult-like status among military and technology buffs around the world.
-- JANE PAULEY (Mon. August 18) - In the early 1970s, Jane Pauley was one of the pioneering young women who would change the face of broadcast news. More than 30 years later, she is still going strong - a broadcasting icon and one of the most familiar faces on television. Interviews include Tom Brokaw, Stone Phillips, Ann Pauley (Jane's sister), Bryant Gumbel, Willard Scott, Gene Shalit, Garth Brooks and many more.
-- DIXIE CHICKS (Mon. August 25) - With the release of their first CD in 1997, the Dixie Chicks shook up the country music scene and it hasn't stopped shakin' yet. But can they survive the firestorm of criticism they've received since that infamous London concert?
-- ALL MY CHILDREN (Mon. September 8) - For over 30 years, the soap opera All My Children has entertained viewers across America. BIOGRAPHY takes a behind-the-scenes look at this classic soap opera. Interviews include: Susan Lucci, Finola Hughes, Julia Barr, Ray MacDonnell and Exec Producer Jean Dadario Burke.
-- PHIL SPECTOR (Tues. September 9) - Over three decades since its heyday, Phil Spector's Wall of Sound still stands as a milestone in recording history. Yet Spector was known to be a disturbed, often violent soul. His troubles came to a head with the recent murder in his home of a woman he'd met at a bar. BIOGRAPHY retraces the steps of his rise and fall.
-- ALL THE PRESIDENT'S CHILDREN: TWO HOUR SPECIAL (Sun. September 14) - From George Washington to George W. Bush, from success stories to tragedies to money grabs - their identity as son or daughter of the President of the United States is an inescapable fact of life. This two-hour documentary examines life in the spotlight of political celebrity.
-- NATALIE WOOD (Monday, September 22) - Captivated fans followed her personal life and film career from childhood until her tragic death in 1981. Film clips, rare behind-the-scenes footage and archival photos, as well as interviews with daughters Kate and Courtney Wagner and Natasha Gregson Wagner; sister Lana Wood and co-stars, such as Maureen O'Hara, illuminate the life of this legendary Hollywood starlet.
Also in August, A&E Network will unveil a new marketing campaign for BIOGRAPHY, encompassing The Art of Biography, photographed by world renowned photographer, Annie Leibovitz. The television and print campaign will run for a year, and includes Jerry Seinfeld, Muhammad Ali, Steven Spielberg, Harrison
Ford, Jamie Lee Curtis, Mary Tyler Moore, Nicolas Cage, Richard Gere, Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman.
In June, A&E Network named Deirdre O'Hearn Vice President and Executive Producer of the Emmy Award-winning BIOGRAPHY series on the A&E Network. In her new role, Ms. O'Hearn will oversee all aspects of the critically acclaimed series, BIOGRAPHY. Previously Ms. O'Hearn was Director, Programming, The
Biography Channel. Before joining The Biography Channel, Ms. O'Hearn spent ten years as a producer and senior producer of programming for A&E Network and The History Channel, including BIOGRAPHY editions of everyone from F. Scott Fitzgerald and Truman Capote to Sen. John McCain and Eva Peron. She also
supervised production of specials, including Biography of the Year and Biography of the Millennium. For her work, she was honored with two Emmy nominations and four Golden Eagles.
Under the auspices of Ms. O'Hearn, A&E Network has contracted famed talent booker, Joanna Jordon of Central Talent Booking. Ms. Jordan and Central Talent Booking will serve as a liaison between BIOGRAPHY and the entertainment community.

Adamantium 07-11-2003, 05:00 PM I enjoyed the "Munsters" and "M*A*S*H" TVographys. I just wish they would do a "NewsRadio" TVography. I mean that show, whether you like it or not, had a story to tell. The tragic murder of Phil Hartman, Andy Dick's drug addictions, not to mention all his other problems. NBC's shabby treatment of this series. The fact that "NewsRadio" was the lowest rated sitcom in it's 3rd season. And besides A&E used to rerun "NewsRadio."
