Why was Uncle Phil always in a bad mood? He appeared to have a normal life.

he was honestly the part of the show i didn't enjoy at all.

he was the 'king of his castle' who ruled with an iron fist. he instilled fear into everybody in order to control them. he yelled and barked orders. he threatened and stomped around. he insulted and used his size to intimidate people. vivian literally had to shield will from him at times.

he cared more about being obeyed than understood. yes, there were life lessons at the end, but it was too little too late. i would never leave my child with him.

He's aggressive to deal with serious financial rules in this mansion. Aunt Vivian is also supposed aggressive for similar reasons as Phil, but the first Vivian doesn't control aggressive well as Phil, and she sometimes gets aggressive on Phil, besides on Will, unfortunately, TBH, IMO.
