NO!!!! At one time Chris Rock thought about an S&S movie but nothing happened. The problem is with the show itself, and most of Mr. Lear's shows. They were/are ICONIC! Only the ORIGINAL actors (most of whom have passed on) could play these characters. Who else could be Archie other than Carrol O'Connor? Who could be James Evans other than the great John Amos? Secondary characters as well, Julio, Rollo, Walter Findlay, even Hoppy, and Smitty, lol! It's best to leave well enough alone and let these great shows enjoy their legacies in peace. Peace✌����☮

I could see Whoopi Goldberg being decent as Esther, and like I said, at one time Demond Wilson could've done a decent Fred I think

I agree with this. Not only was the show iconic, the chemistry between the actors was iconic too. I don't think it could ever be recreated again, and anything else would fall short. Best to enjoy the show as it was in all it's glory and greatness!
