on channel GAC Family Bewitched is having a long marathon black and white versions of Bewitched on right now check it out on comcast xfinity 1620

It looks like Sony has done some new HD remasters and they look great. Cropped to widescreen, but it's not too bad. The opening animation for the black and white shows is back to the original version! For the last 20 years or so, they've been using the color intro with the color turned off. The differences are minor but if you're looking for one specifically, the stove is disconnected from the rest of the cabinets in the black and white original version but they're all connected in the color one.

It's a somewhat new version of the opening theme with a few extra notes at the end as well. I'll be interested to see what season 2 is like when they get that far.

and they got a screen gems bumper and some commercials but no credit crunch im happy with this they got the first episode on right now

They must have made a deal for other shows with Sony, too. They have some other shows, as well.

Here Comcast has virtually every channel on the HD tier. Except GAC.

Yes, the video is the unadulterated original, (C) MCMLXIV. You can tell the "black and white-ized" color version where it says (C) MCMLXVI, with a CPT (C) 2000 renewal often added.

It's a shame it's widescreen, with the chopped off top and bottom.

I really would like to see this on the HD side. They also have I Dream of Jeannie, which is supposedly coming out on Blu Ray, although it has been pushed out a few times.

I have FETV but I never even heard of GAC tv. Maybe they're only on Comcast channels. Comcast doesn't carry a lot of channels Fios carries. I won't miss Bewitched as I'm currently watching my DVDs of that show, so who needs GAC?

Some of the listings are out of date. Bewitched and the other Sony shows they have will still be on.

The season 2 theme is totally updated to match the closing theme. I've never heard that version of the opening, and it's probably not on any DVD.

I wonder if Bewitched was remastered in HD for streaming.

It's definitely not on DVD. Outside of the handful of original broadcast film transfers that circulate among collectors/on YouTube, that version of the theme hasn't been heard in more than 50 years.
