Ok, pointless thread, but which is everyone's favourite Mary hairstyle? Mine is Season 3/4-ish. A little bit lighter, short and flipped out, or semi-short and curled under, but it still looks kind of straight....if that makes any sense? Like how it is in "My Brother's Keeper". I didn't like it much in the later seasons.

I know I'm probably in the vast minority here, but I have to say I'm partial to the first season's hairdo. It was perfect for that stage of Mary Richards' life. She just seemed so innocent, which is what she was, of course! I also liked seasons 3 and 4 a lot too. Oh heck, I liked them all! :lol:

I like her first and second season hair. I think she looks great with long hair even though in the first season it was a wig.

Was it really???:eek: I never knew that. Now my image is shattered, lol. j/k I did always think that it did look sort of big and really thick in S1/2 though so I guess it makes sense. Her hair from like S3 on is real though right?

i think starting in season 2 she did not wear a wig although i could be wrong.

That's right. Like I told you in IM's, Becki, Mary HATED the wig, so she only wore it for the first season. The main purpose was to distance her from Laura Petrie. After the first season, they probably felt that was no longer necessary anyway.

MARY MARY MARY :eek: How sad:(

I loved her hair during the third seasons where she would give it more body at times. The fifth season her hair rocked. Watch the season opener in season 5 where Lou's ex-wife remarries. Her hair looked good and reflect Mary Richards maturity.

MTM hairstyle during the season of her fail variety shows, 78-79, was very good. Gave her a more chic look and a removal from Mary Richards.

Anyone remember those Nick at Nite commercials about Mary's hair? I still have those! :D
Anyway, I love all of her hairstyles, but if I had to choose I'd probably pick the hairstyle she had in the 3rd and 4th season. :wave:
