I bought some cheeseburger macaroni flavored Hamburger helper recently and took it out of the cupboard to make tonight for dinner and noticed the top of the box says " Try using hotdogs instead of ground beef "!! And on the back the directions show side my side how to make the hamburger version and now the hot dog version !! IDK why but it just strikes me funny! So it would be Hot Dog helper right? :lol:

Well we eat hot dogs and macaroni and cheese , it's the same thing really but for some reason I find it humorous! Try using hotdogs instead of ground beef ! :lol::D I will try this next time, although I prefer my hotdogs with baked beans or potato salad! ;)

Does anyone else find this funny or am I very easily amused ? :crazy:

Personally, I believe I would pass on hot dog helper. I've been known to BBQ sausage a time or two though.

If we have a few hotdogs left from a pack , we make them for breakfast with eggs instead of sausage or bacon ! Called Juevos con wienies (eggs & hotdogs in Spanish) , it's quite good and ya feel good that your not wasting food by using up the left over hotdogs! ;):)


I often use ground turkey instead of beef in my Hamburger helper, I have come across boxes that said you can substitute this and I didn't find that humorous but something about the hotdogs tickled my funny bone!! :lol::D

It does seem a little unusual,...but nothing wrong with a bit of creativity. I'm a big fan of "dressing up" prefab meals. By the time I'm done with them you'd never guess they started as Stouffer's. ;)

It IS funny, and odd. I'd never think of that.

Hot dogs go with baked beans. Now I'm picturing a picnic and out comes not hot dogs on buns, but hot dogs mixed in with "hot dog helper."

I'm with Bonnie on this: Ball Park beef franks... or other all-beef hot dogs.

Right, it's gotta be all-beef.

If not, don't look at the ingredients. Probably best not to, anyway.

I finally made this !!:cool: I just had " Hotdog helper " for lunch ! ;)Pretty good, kind of interesting with the hotdogs rather than ground beef or ground turkey ! :eek:Pretty much basicly like Mac N cheese with cut up HD's !!! ;)

I had peas with it !!:)

The only hotdog's that I eat, just add bbq sauce...
