It’s primarily content that would have been edited out due to commercial breaks being different now than when the show first aired. I don't watch Perry Mason but with the extra 5 minutes, maybe the Perry Mason episodes will be shown complete and uncut? On the Barnaby Jones DVD's from VEI, most of the episodes are edited versions trimmed down to 46 minutes and as far as I know MeTV runs these same Barnaby Jones episodes from the DVD's.
