You know, stuff like:

TGIF

Fox Kids

TNBC

Must See TV Thursday

SNICK (Saturday Nickelodeon)

Nick At Nite's "Block Party Summer", where every night was a 3-hour block of a different show: Munster Monday, etc.

Basically, special blocks of TV with a host or interstitial programming? These particular blocks would have programming during the commercials and credits and between shows. They could also have small bits with the actors talking about something, answering viewers questions, or hanging out at some cast party.

I prefaced "linear TV" because I have a hunch that somebody will say that while watching stuff on demand, you can still have a theme.

And while it may all be more convenient now that with streaming, awe can consume pretty much anything we want and when we want to, is it really that healthy to only consume specifically what you want to consume?

MeTV kinda does this, but it's not very organized--Brady Brunch, Summer of Me, Saturday Morning Cartoons, etc.

MeTV also has, or had, "Red Eye Sci-Fi" on late Saturday Nights-early Sunday Mornings.
