Hey guys, as I was labeling some tapes that needed labeling, I came across an extra tape of the Golden Palace. Before I make a transition to college, I need to be rid of a few things and what better way than through another contest. I will have the tapes ready. There will be a chance for 3 winners. I will ask a certain amount of questions and whoever can e-mail me their repsonses the quickest out of the first 3 wins. The episodes available are:

Hotel Tales: Episode 1 Has Rose, Blanche and Sophia selling the house and buying a fair sized hotel in Miami and runs into problems when there is very little staff on board. Sophia has a run in with the Mexican cook Chuy(Cheech Marin). The girls also meet the Black Hotel Manager Roland(Don Cheadle) and young orphan Oliver(Billy L. Sullivan). The Girls manage to make things work.

Favorite Line:
Blanche: If we don't come up with payment we'll lose the hotel.
Rose: I wish Dorothy were here.
Blanche: Well she couldn't help us.
Rose: No, but she can beat the crap out of you!


"Can't Stand Losing You"
Rose and Blanche vie to find Roland a girlfriend because they think he works too much between the hotel and being a foster father to Oliver. Blanche makes the mistake of contacting an old girlfriend whom he dislikes and it causes trouble when she flies in to Miami thinking that Roland sent for her: BTW, Sophia attempts to fix Roland up and tries to do it with a man thinking Roland might be gay.

The girls prepare for Dorothy's visit. They all celebrate when Dorothy arrives but not realizing that Dorothy wants Sophia to come and live her and Husband Lucas in Atlanta. Chuy finalizes his divorce and marries someone else while drunk. Sophia runs away due to the fact that she cannot choos between Dorothy and Rose and Blanche.

Beatrice Arthur as Dorothy

Favorite Line

Dorothy and Chuy meet.
Chuy: Hola Mamacita! What's Shakin?
Dorothy: Walk away now and nobody gets hurt!

Dorothy stresses out because of missing Sophia. She takes her anger out on the girls pushing Rose to Stand up for her and Blanche against Dorothy. Rose does the very unexpected when it comes to Dorothy. The Girls track down Sophia at Shady Pines and are in for a big suprise. Dorothy also is astonished on how strong Rose has become. Chuy attempts to tell his new wife that he wants a divorce.

Dorothy: That's just like you Blanche. All talk and no action. Just Like your dates.

Blanche: Are you implying that I'm not easy? Why do you think they call me the female Ted Kennedy?

Just a Gigolo

Rose has suspicion that the new man in Blanche's life is out for Blanche's money and confronts him telling him to leave Blance alone or she would go to the authorities about his past.

Favorite Line:

Rose's indication for the Gigolo to go.

Rose:(Interrupting Blanche and Boyfriend) My favorite show is about to start....COPS!

I've never seen GP, but wow, it seems like Rose really grew a backbone after Dorothy left, lol. She had some rough lines!

Well I have decided to do this because there are so many of you out there that don't have any episodes or have not seen the show so when chances come like this, I like to share. On the occassion, I do it on the Facts Of Life Board. I have the whole series except 2 eps. I have these eps selected because I dubbed them but the 5 shows are just sitting on tape on my unit, LOL. I would normally allow winners to choose certain eps, but with my busy schedule, I just can't accomodate that right now. Anyways, Rose is still naive but she is also a tad bit smarter, stronger and has more insults towards others, so she could be pretty nasty at times.

Rose:(At Sophia) How would you like for me to snatch those wrinkles off your face you little snitch!?

Blanche: You're calling me obviouse little miss "I dropped my corn on the cob down my cleavage and can't get it out?"
Rose: You're just jealous because the only thing you can fit in your cleavage is a peanut!

Wow, those lines are so un-Rose! LOL! I guess they had to make up for Dorothy's absence (sp?) somehow though. Anyway, when are we going to see these trivia questions?

I'll post the time as soon as I finish checking through my day planner. I have orientation in Orlando tommorrow for UCF and then will be going to NYC in 3 weeks \, so I will try to plan in between.
