I worte Cloris Leachman and asked for an autograph on July 5. She sent me an autographed picture on July 13. I didn't send a sase or anything. She sent a beautiful, up-close, 8 x 10 *non glossy* photo of her signed and inscribed. It said:

Sooo nice of her! Now I just need a couple of more autographs till I have the whole MTMS cast. LOL...

We probably don't want to take advantage of the system too much since Mary is kind enough to hand sign all the pictures and actually read the letters herself inbetween her busy schedule, but if you feel like you have something else you really want to say to her I'm sure she wouldn't mind. :)

Yeah, I think she does read them herself. You all saw my "birthday" autograph. I really can't see a secretary caring enough to say, "It's this person's birthday." If a secretary were telling her what to do, she'd be writing the same thing for everyone. Course this is all speculation, just IMO, but there it is, LOL.

Ditto. I'm don't know for a positive fact that she does read them herself, but I'm pretty sure she does judging by certain detailed things she's written on some people's pictures that I'm sure a secretary wouldn't care enough to pass along like Kristen said. One of the many great mysteries of the world I guess....;)

AAAAH I got a respose from Mary! :D It's still "Hi, Kristen Mary Tyler Moore" but it's the pic Meagan got from her. I'll scan it tonight so you all can see it! I have some doubts about the handwriting though. It's not as good as it normally is. Maybe she was rushed or something. I've had several success from her, but it's still a rush!
