I read a post on Facebook that said that Miss Mahoney was who they had in mind as the sex education teacher in "The Facts of Love", but since Jennie O'Hara quit the show, they got Mrs. Garrett for the role.

Could you imagine Miss Mahaney teaching a sex education class? The students would know more than her.

It wouldn't surprise me if that was the case, but I don't believe Facebook post unless they come from someone official.

Miss Mahoney would have learned some things from Tootie!

Well i'm surely glad it was MRS G who got to teach that sex education class: we got to see how much potential she had at it!

Miss Mahoney's teaching session on the episode 'I.Q' was also a classic, and a very good episode, but unfortunately her last....

I thought we got to see her sex potential in "Like Mother, Like Daughter". Hubba, hubba! :groucho:rofl:

It really is too bad she didn't come back for guest spots.

It would have been interesting but Mrs. Garrett was the girls confidant and I think she was the right person to teach a sensitive subject like Sex Education

What has the episode 'Like mother, like daughter' to do with MRS G's sex education class: she helped BLAIR with her mother's issue and was a great confidante to her lol!

Yes, later in the series, Mrs. Garrett couldn't even say the the 3 letter S word.

Because Mrs. Garrett was showing off all her "body language". She even wore that French outfit.

Yes of course: right at the beginning when MOLLY is using the book on Body language lol! (it's so funny to see MRS G grooving and singing, to later go all shy and take her French outfit off lol!)
